How I Stayed Busy In Bangkok

If you've never been to Thailand, add it to your list now! I recently visited Bangkok and Phuket and I can not wait to get back to Asia to check out some more destinations.

Bangkok is a big city, sometimes I would feel like I was right back at home in New York. I stayed in the Pullman G Hotel it was great. The staff was accommodating, breakfast food was on point, and the rooms were clean and spacious. My favorite part of the hotel was the pool area! The pool had a bar, and an incredible view of the city.
Transportation in Bangkok was convenient. There are endless taxis and Tuk Tuks (so much fun) and the subway system is easy to learn.
I loved all of the cultural experiences I had in Bangkok, from the food, to the Buddha statues, and temples. If you make it to Bangkok DO NOT MISS the floating market! This is where I bought most of my souvenirs and got to try some new foods. The prices at the floating market are cheap but don't forget to bargain!!! I never buy anything unless its a good deal.
My best experience in all of Thailand was visiting the Elephant World Sanctuary. This was about a 2 hour drive from the hotel. I had so much fun feeding the elephants, making their food, and swimming/bathing with them! This was a breathtaking experience unlike any other. I do not recommend any business that allows tourists to ride elephants, as they are often mistreated.
Of course I had to go visit the Grand Palace while in the city. I was simply amazed by the detail on every building and statue. There is not much to say (or write) about the Grand Palace because I simply cannot find the words that will not diminish the experience. I also visited the Reclining Buddha, boy is that thing HUGE (46 meters)! It is worth making the trip, and the reclining Buddha is about a 10 minute walk from the Grand Palace. Covered in gold leaf this is one of the largest temple complexes in Bangkok. The surrounding area is very calming and relaxing.
If you're like me, and you love vacations that leave you knowing a little more about yourself, then Thailand is the place for you.
